Comments

While I can't comment from the position of a supporter (since I'm not one bc I can barely support myself), I can comment from the position of a creator who relies significantly on the funds generated by supporting folks. And what I can tell is that the answer on question of "why are you support/don't support me?" is the holy grail for any artist. From various bits of info I come across as well as my personal experience, IMO the majority of the support motivation goes from these categories:
1. The product is just too good.
2. Appreciation of the author himself. Be the main character of your own story.
3. Continuous project/effort.
4. Pretty generous bonuses. Besides the obvious early access.
5. Silent kind. Who knows why they support you but they do it nonetheless.
6. Consistency.
None of these categories is the main factor but all of them are important. Personally, I will emphasize on the 2, because vibes much, MUCH more important than the art itself. And 6, for obvious reasons.
Also I can bet that the significant role plays parasocial relationship, then your stuff is just "connects" with the viewers because of a some obscure quality that makes them feel appreciation towards you, like to a good buddy of them who "gets it".
Overall, I'd suggest you to try to make your own art from start to finish. In my experience audience appreciate personal work 2-3x more than commissioned or partial. Second suggestion will be try to scout around and look for teams with big projects who would be interested in your set of skills in exchange for monetary reward or revenue share.
Something like that :)

Those are fair enough points, I will study those.

thanks for the feedback. ^^
